Introducing

Clint and John

E.L.M.

Clint has been a well known face in Somerset for decades.  He worked as a television and radio correspondent for the BBC for more than 40 years.

Throughout that time he has played in various bands in venues across the West Country. One of his first bands, Mosaic, once appeared on TV in a programme called New Faces (an early version of Britain’s Got Talent).

Before joining forces with John, he played in an Everly Brothers tribute band called Cleverly Everly, which had a large and enthusiastic following. The band played in theatres across Somerset, including The Brewhouse in Taunton, the MacMillan Theatre in Bridgwater and The Regal Theatre in Minehead.

With E.L.M Clint says he is keen to get back to playing "the music I really enjoy and that brings back happy memories for people.  I love the variety of our repertoire and I honestly think there are songs there to suit all tastes.

"Whether you want to just sit back and listen … or sing … or dance… whether it’s in a pub, a club or a hotel, we can promise you a fun night of memories."

John was responsible for sales into some of the biggest names in UK retail.

When he retired, he decided to concentrate on his two main interests, writing and performing music and touring Europe by motorcycle.

Writing and recording in his home studio in Somerset, some of his work has been performed by local choirs at public events and on local radio.

More recently, teaming up with Clinton to perform music from different genres such as Country Rock, Soft Rock, Folk & Blues and Pop songs locally has been very well received by the public.

"The local music scene is very buoyant at the moment and offers performers like E.L.M. the chance to entertain Somerset people with live music which they can sing along to or just listen and enjoy," said John.
